During winter, visitors can enjoy ice rinks and a sledding hill with a warming house that includes restrooms. Portable restrooms are available when the building is closed. The park provides ample off-street parking with two lots.

Welcome Park

Found on 46th Avenue North, Welcome Park is a community favorite featuring a playground, green space, and sports fields and courts, including a gaga pit. It’s popular for field sports in summer and ice skating in winter. Recent upgrades include improved softball fields, a relocated hockey rink with added lighting, and the removal of Welcome Avenue through the park to enhance safety and accessibility.

Bassett Creek Park

As Crystal’s largest park, Bassett Creek Park offers an 85-acre space with a modern playground, disc golf course, sports courts and fields, and a regional trail. The park is designed to balance active and passive uses, with the northern half focusing on active recreation and the southern half on passive enjoyment.
